So let me tell you a story… This morning I visited a school’s brand new website. It was disappointing. To be fair it was a BIG improvement on their previous website, but I was surprised how it had obviously been built by a designer who did not have much knowledge about basic search engine optimisation features.

When families move they often need to choose schools before they move into the area. This means you need to make sure that your school’s website is easy for Google and other search engines to find. If people hear about a school they will google it and check out the website. But if they don’t know anything yet they will go searching.

The Covenant school’s blogsite has an added bonus with website Search Engine Optimisation. It helps creates traffic, has extensive content and is constantly changing. These are all factors that Google likes. The search engine’s robot now visits the site daily. For a young site it already has several thousand pages – more pages than many larger sites. This gives it added credibility with Google.
